Fork Lift Truck Driver - Cannock

Salary £11.50 - £12 P/H DOE
Hours Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 4pm Fri 7.30am - 1pm
Permanent Position, Flexible Holiday Entitlement, Free onsite parking

We are currently working with an engineering business based in Cannock who are a sub-contract sheet metalworking company. Due to natural progression, they now have a requirement for a Fork Lift Driver to join their existing team.

 

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Fork Lift Driver will be responsible for loading/unloading steel from incoming deliveries, and loading outgoing despatches onto transport. They will be communicating with external transport drivers and internal staff within the Goods In/Out Dept.

 

The ideal candidate for the Fork Lift Driver role will have:

  • A good working knowledge of stores and despatch operations.
  • The ability to communicate well with both external customers and internal staff.
  • Gained previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a steel environment.
  • An in-date Counterbalance Forklift license.

In return the Fork Lift Driver can expect to receive a competitive salary, 33 days flexible holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role will be Mon-Thursday 07:30-16:00 (30 Mins break) and Fri 07:30-13:00 (No break), however, a degree of flexibility will be expected if there is the requirement to cover other shifts or to do overtime in order to ensure deliveries are unloaded.

Sales Estimator - Kidderminster

Salary £25k - £35k DOE
Hours Day Shifts
Permanent Position, Competitive Salary, Free Onsite Parking, Day Shifts

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Estimator will come from a technical background in either engineering or manufacturing who can operate in a commercial role to estimate new enquiries and assist the team.

The main requirements of the Estimator will be to:

  • Interpret customers’ requirements from specifications and drawings.
  • Using software to create quotations and price proposals.
  • Liaise with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.
  • Deal with client's technical questions with support from the company's manufacturing engineers.
  • Promote the business and follow up on enquiries to maximise new business opportunities.
  • Following up existing enquiries to encourage feedback from our customers.
  • Liaising with the engineering, production, and quality staff to ensure the customer’s specific requirements are communicated to staff in all departments.

 

The ideal candidate for the Estimator will have:

  • Good understanding of manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in sheet metal and fabrication industry
  • Proven experience in a customer service role within a business-to-business environment.
  • Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • 2D CAD experience, handling and analysing dxf and dwg files.
  • The ability to use 3D CAD software would also be advantageous but training can be provided if required.

Technical Sales Estimator - Grays, Essex

Salary £36k DOE
Hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (subject to change)
Permanent Position, Flexible Holiday, Free Onsite Parking, £36,000 DOE

We are currently working with a small-medium sized sub-contract laser cutting and sheet metal engineering company, based in Grays, Essex. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit an Technical Sales Estimator to join their existing Sales Team.

The role of the Technical Sales Estimator will involve, but not be limited to:

 

  • Receiving requests for quotes from customers in a variety of formats.
  • Data inputting onto Excel/MRP to produce costings, to be reviewed.
  • Producing quotes.
  • Liaising with customers daily, by email and phone with the occasional customer visit.
  • Liaising with shop floor personnel.
  •  

The ideal candidate for the Technical Sales Estimator role will have:

 

  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships with customers
  • An engineering qualification or be confident reading engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise their own workload.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative with the minimum of supervision after training.
  • Be a confident, self-motivated worker, who wants to grow with the business and become an integral member of the team.

In return, the Technical Sales Estimator can expect to receive a competitive salary, 25 days flexible holiday per year, with a shutdown at Christmas.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a good knowledge of sheet metalworking, fabrication or engineering.

Business Development Opportunities - West Midlands & Worcestershire

Salary £40,000 - £60,000 (Package dependent upon experience)
Hours Day Shifts – 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

We currently have a number of Business Development roles available within the West Midlands & Worcestrshire, working for our fabrication clients, in a rapidly growing, fast paced engineering environment.

The primrary responsibilities will be to strategically plan for significant growth, obtaining new customers, negotiating prices, maintaining the CRM, visiting customers and closing the deals.

There are roles at varying levels - entry level office based Business Development Executives, up to field based/hybrid Senior BDM positions - These roles will require you to have a strong personality, and have gained experience as a Senior Business Development Manager previously.

Essentially you will have a proven knowledge of the laser cutting/sheet metal/fabrication industry, having worked in this environment previously.

The packages will vary for each level of role, but will come with a competitive salary and for the higher level roles, a car, mobile & laptop.
